Moscato, fortified wine
Sicily
Protected Geographical Indication – PGI
The fortified Moscato is an aromatic wine preserving all the features peculiar to the same name grapes cultivated in Sicily.
Its typical golden is often shaded by an amber colour; it smells ripe fruit, citrus and honey, and its taste is pleasantly sweet, intense and winding.
Moscato is a considerably elegant wine, noteworthy in dessert, especially when it’s matched with typical Sicilian dry biscuits or ice-creams, or as a smart aperitif with ripened cheese. In this last case, it’s better to serve it cold between 8 and 12 degrees.
