White Malvasia grapes - reference: http://www.vitisdb.it

“Malvasia” identifies a wide vines group, with white or black grapes, cultivated in regions with many differences in weather and soils. These vines’ features are very different and anything but homogeneous; in fact, just a few varieties have a developed aromatic compound like in Moscato’s.

In Sicily, Malvasia is cultivated quiet exclusively in the white grapes variety. It creates great aromatic wines, natural or fortified. Sicilian Malvasie have the same apricot perfume and considerable residual sugar content.
